I love sewing, particularly hand sewing. Some of my most treasured memories of my Mother are of her sewing. She always used a beeswax block to strengthen her thread, hence I have made and included my beeswax thread conditioner in the set. The set includes hexagon pin cushion, magnetic needle minder and a beeswax based thread conditioner.
The set comprises three pieces:-
1.
A little hexagon pin cushion in bee fabric, using hexagons handsewn together. No two are alike and the one you receive may be different to the ones pictured. Keep all your pins and needles handy in one spot.
To give an indication of size the pin cushion measures approx 9cm at the widest points. (pins not included)2.
A little gold tin with a block of beeswax, this acts as a thread conditioner - it's prevents tangles in your thread, strengthens the thread and makes it a little easier to thread your needle. Can be used for embroidery thread, for sewing hems and buttons, in fact it's perfect for any hand sewing at all.Simply run your thread over the block, repeat to get the desired coating on your thread.
3.
A little magnetic needle minder. Have you ever put your needle down and can't find it again? With the needle minder you can just pop your needle onto it and it will keep it in place until you need it again. It is magnetised so you can place it on any surface, or you can used the second magnet on the back to place on the underside of any fabric project you are working on and it will stay attached to the fabric for you.
I love bees and there is nothing more creative or therapeutic than hand sewing, so I have combined the two. I love these little sets and I hope you do as well. They make a lovely gift for any sewer, or for yourself.
***Please note these are hand made and hand sewn, using my smaller pieces of bee themed fabric, therefore each one is unique and the fabric used for the pin cushion and needle minder may vary to the one shown, but all will be in lovely bee fabric. No two are alike as I use different bee themed fabrics all the time. I have included photos of front and back of some of the pin cushions which may be available. All are just as nice as each other, the one you receive will be a surprise. Background embroidery not included. Pins and needle not included.
